AUROMA MARKET NEWS MARCH 2004 Welcome to the Auroma Market News Report for March. The aim of this newsletter is to update you with the latest
trends and availability of essential oils and vegetable oils. This gives you an
understanding of potential causes of price fluctuations and the ongoing
availability of your favourite essential oils. Essential Oil Status Report Cedarwood Oil Texas, and Cedarwood Oil
Virginian are both in short supply at the moment. Rosewood Oil, this oil remains short in
supply. Demand has increased over recent weeks from various markets. Clove Stem Oil, once again available in
limited supply. Demand for this oil at present appears steady. Petitgrain Oil, this oil has good
stocks of material available from source. Tea Tree Oil, demand for this oil has
increased over recent weeks. Sandalwood Oil, we believe that the
next Indian wood auction will be due shortly, however as there have been no
auctions for nearly a year material remains very short and the price has risen
again. Australian Oil appears more attractive than ever with its stable price
and supply. There are further reports that many companies are removing the
Indian material from their formulas. Nutmeg Oil, demand for this oil remains
at a steady level. Rose Oil, due to the shortage of
current material the price of this oil is increasing. Material is becoming
extremely difficult to locate from various origins. We do not believe the
situation will change for sometime. Ginger Oil, this Chinese Oil continues
on its rollercoaster ride. Vegetable Oil Status Report The price of vegetable oils in general remains quite firm,
however there are a few oils of interest at present. Almond Oil, there is continued high
demand for this oil from Asia. Olive Oil, the small stocks in Spain
are creating shortages for the supply of the material. The situation appears
only to worsen over the next few months until next year's crop. Wheatgerm, there has been increased
demand for this oil recently from various markets. |
