Welcome to the Auroma newsletter. The aim of this newsletter is to update you with the latest trends and availability of essential oils, fragrances and vegetable oils. This will assist your forecasting and ordering, and keep you informed with marketplace developments. Essential Oil Status Report Grapefruit Oil, White and Pink both continue to firm in price with steady demand. Lemon Oil, from Rosewood Oil, this oil remains short in supply and therefore prices have firmed. Reports indicate that the low river levels have impacted on the transportation of the wood on the rivers. Spearmint Oil, the price of this oil remains stable, with stockists holding good levels of material from last year's crop. Citronella Oil, the price for this oil has increased slightly over recent weeks for the Chinese material. Petitgrain Oil, good stocks of material being available from source. Demand remains weak. Sandalwood Oil, the price of the Indian material has now been reported at an all time high, export licences were granted and the majority of this material has been sold very quickly. We currently have genuine material at competitive rates, we are also currently able to offer Pacific Island Oil which is similar in profile to that of East Indian. Rose Oil, due to the shortage of current material the price of this oil remains high. Material is becoming extremely difficult to locate from various origins. We do not believe the situation will change for sometime. Litsea Cubeba, demand continues at its current levels, availability is good. Ginger Oil, this Chinese Oil has now stabilised in price and availability is much better.
Vegetable Oils Olive Oil, the small stocks in
Wheatgerm, the price remains relatively attractive, but we have seen an increase over recent weeks, due to the increased demand from various markets.
