Lemon Scented Tea Tree is popular all over Australia as a garden ornamental small tree, it grows well given the right conditions to around 5 metres. It grows reasonable quickly, with a reasonable yield. As a cosmetic preservative, Lemon Scented Tea Tree has been shown to be effective as a preservative in shampoo at 1% and as an active in natural anti-microbial products or as an active in deodorant products. Lemon scented tea tree is a shrubby plant native to Australia and New Zealand.
The Lemon note has a wide acceptance and It does not have the harsh medicinal note of traditional Tea Tree. A 20% solution of Lemon Scented Tea Tree was found to be effective against a particular mosquito. It gave immediate repellency and remained effective for 4 hours for at least 50% of the insects. Besides exhibiting a revitalising aroma, as it has been said that L. personii is 'nearly more lemony than lemons', it has been suggested that it helps to minimise minor skin irritations and breakouts.
