Beeswax White

(Cera Alba)

Product Code:GWBEEW

Beeswax comes from a number of different sources, and can vary in colour depending on the original nectar. The wax is secreted by glands in honey bees, and is used for the bees to make the walls of their homes, the honeycomb.

Auroma uses Beeswax Leatherwood: Obtained by melting the walls of the honeycomb made by the honey-bee Apis mellifera L. with hot water and removing the foreign matter and then bleaching to remove the colour and minimise odour. This is produced into small light coloured pieces or beads.

Compatible with most other waxes, fatty acids, fatty alcohols and plant glycerides, and can be used for many purposes. This variety is mostly used for cosmetics, creams, lotions etc. as the colour and odour may blend discreetly in a light base.
